The Senior Marketing Analytics Manager is responsible for delivering actionable insights to business stakeholders. By combining deep analytics with business knowledge, you'll identify audience segments, develop meaningful metrics and quantify and qualify marketing effectiveness including reach, influence and engagement. You'll collaborate closely with media relations, advertising, social media, editorial, and the user experience and web development teams to understand content, messaging and campaigns, and make recommenations to optimize performance.

Responsibilities

  • Translate marketing and communications into measurable performance metrics
  • Identify actionable insights via data analysis, leveraging methods such as key driver analysis, customer segmentation and profiling, pattern recognition, and design of experiments
  • Design effective and impactful reports and visualizations for both large and small scale distribution, present your findings and recommendations
  • Work closely with content producers, advertising and marketing managers and web producers and developers to create, execute, and oversee the measurement plan
  • Drive site-tagging strategy and implementation for campaigns and other efforts. Oversee tag testing, spot bugs or data anomalies, and initiate corrective action
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative surveys to better understand user needs and behaviors 
  • Partner with functional area Directors to support their assessments of integrated marketing campaigns, websites and purchased and earned media to help guide strategic business decisions and marketing investments
  • Develop reports, presentations, feedback loops and continuous improvement plans that facilitate integrated change management and adoption

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with preferred concentration in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a similar analytical field 
  • 5 years of experience analyzing complex data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations
  • Fluency with descriptive and inferential statistical techniques, including experimental design concepts and their application
  • Expert knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Experience using tag management systems (e.g. GTM, DTM)
  • Understanding of SEO and SEM and how to impact results via content and website architecture
  • Experience analyzing engagement via social media, media relations and advertising
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Experience presenting to internal business and marketing audiences
  • Demonstrated attentiveness to detail and focus on excellence in work product delivery

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or graduate degree in a quantitative field preferred
  • Proficient in extracting large data sets from various relational databases using SQL
  • Proficency with machine learning algorithms
  • Scientific or other highly technical content in a business or organization highly driven by engagement with content
  • Comfort reading and understanding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
