The Precision Oncology Program Assistant II assists the Sloan Precision Oncology Institute team in the implementation of program policies and procedures related to biospecimen procurement and clinical research. The program assistant II supports protocols designated as biobanking and observational, with a specific focus on strategies for targeting individualized features of patients and environments to optimize treatment outcomes for patients with cancer. The program assistant II carries-out special assignments or projects in addition to performing administrative responsibilities.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of department/study policies and procedures. 
  • Track and courier research samples and products as necessary. 
  • Serve as department/study liaison and provide information to Center staff and outside organizations. 
  • Maintain updated policies and procedures manuals.  
  • Make accurate and complete postings to department/study records and maintain files and filing system in accordance with policies and procedures. 
  • Ordering and assembling research kits and delivering to appropriate labs.  
  • Perform related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduation or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to problem solve and to prioritize multiple competing tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative focus is essential, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, including general office skills (e.g., typing and filing).
  • Ability to work with multiple data management systems including generating reports and sourcing data from systems.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $25.72 to $36.62 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
