Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

This opportunity is apart of the Fred Hutch Cord Blood Transplant (CBT) Internship Program.

 

This is an onsite position at our South Lake Union location.

 

This is a part time opportunity, supporting 16 hours per week. 

Responsibilities

The intern of our Cord Blood Transplant (CBT) Program will be trained in a range of skills and techniques, depending on the project assigned. Under the guidance of a mentor, the intern will learn fundamentals of clinical research and will learn or improve the following skills:  

  • The intern will work directly with an assigned mentor within the CBT program that aligns with their project/academic focus. Additional experiences will be provided on a case-by-case basis for individualized career development.
  • Opportunities include hands-on laboratory experience, clinical data analysis, public health research and more. 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Entering senior year of high school.
  • Interest in clinical, laboratory, or public health research with no specific requirements.
  • Able to be onsite at the Fred Hutch campus in South Lake Union.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $21.30 to $30.13 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

 

Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
