The Statistical Center for HIV/AIDS Research and Prevention (SCHARP) at Fred Hutch is a full service statistical and data management center focused on HIV prevention research. SCHARP has an annual budget of over $40 million, more than 130 employees and is currently managing over 40 active phase I – III clinical trials in over 150 clinical sites around the world. SCHARP is seeking a temporary Clinical Data Project Coordinator I to coordinates activities in support of network, protocol-specific and/or departmental projects for the Clinical Data Management department.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with project sponsor, stakeholders and SCHARP team members to define project requirements, scope, organization and approach.
  • Coordinate study and administrative activities, working with Clinical Data Managers to ensure activities are completed according to given timelines.
  • Assist in the development, review, editing, and revision of administrative materials in support of network and/or protocol specific projects.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance and updating of departmental templates, standardized materials and documentation for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
  • Assist departmental liaison, representing a project to other Center departments, funding sources, affiliated individuals or institutions, and outside organizations.
  • Assist the SCHARP statisticians and programmers with tracking Investigational New Drug (IND) tables and serve as central point of contact for DAIDs Regulatory Compliance Center regarding timelines.
  • Assist with the preparation of study progress reports for network operational meetings.
  • Assist with the management of project/study database(s) and work with programmers in developing and upgrading database to ensure maximum effectiveness, as required.
  • Manage the coordination, formatting and production of special and recurring reports (e.g. data management quality reports, DSMB).
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS in related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of one year post-master's or three years post-bachelor's project coordination experience in a research setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Detail oriented, excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills are essential including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Clinical trials or medical research experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic environment.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $31.83 to $47.73 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

 

Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
