The Program Assistant II assists department/Clinical Research Supervisor and/or Clinical Research Nurse in the implementation of program policies and procedures. Carries-out special assignments or projects in addition to performing administrative responsibilities.

 

Program Assistant positions may vary widely in the specific responsibilities performed, as much of the work is project-based and specific to the individual department or study. 

Responsibilities

Scope of Responsibilities

 

The incumbent works with some independence and is expected to use judgment in carrying-out duties within the framework of department/study policies and procedures and required to work on campus to support the work for this position. 

 

Essential Tasks

 

May perform some or all of the following responsibilities:

  • Track and courier research samples and products, as necessary. 50%
  • Ordering, organizing, and assembling research kits and delivering to appropriate labs. 20%
  • Support specimen tracking in specimen management platform including initial set up of protocols. 10%
  • Assists in the implementation of department/study policies and procedures. 5%
  • Perform scheduling tasks and consenting for lab donors.  5%
  • Maintain updated policies and procedures manuals. 5%
  • Perform related duties as assigned. 5%

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduation or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Organizational skills
  • General office skills (i.e., typing, filing, phone skills)
  • Word processing/computer skills
  • Written and oral communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

The hourly pay range for this position is from $25.72 to $36.62 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship at this time.
