Reporting to Fred Hutch Chief Clinical Operations Officer (CCOO), the Associate Vice President (AVP), Radiation Oncology will partner closely with the Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology and Vice Chair of Radiation Oncology for Clinical Affairs to lead clinical, research, and administrative radiation oncology operations at Fred Hutch owned sites of practice, and is responsible for strategic planning and execution of the vision for growth and development of the Integrated Radiation Oncology Program at Fred Hutch and the University of Washington (UW) Medicine. This role has a close partnership and dotted line reporting relationship to the Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at UW Medicine.
The AVP, Radiation Oncology will be accountable for working in partnership with key stakeholders and leading the development of a unified strategy and supporting governance model across a complex, geographically dispersed group of locations and including multiple organizational entities to ensure alignment, collaboration and consistent implementation of operations and patient experience across facilities. Within an enterprise that treats approximately 4000 patients annually with advanced treatment modalities including proton therapy, neutron therapy, gamma knife and advanced X-ray technology, this leader will co-develop and implement strategies to meet the needs of each area, ensuring appropriate resource utilization and rationalization of service offerings, consistent patient experience and the highest quality care and outcomes, with a focus on accessibility. This leader will co-create and lead an enterprise-wide growth strategy for Radiation Oncology clinical programs, oversee clinical service initiatives, financial performance, patient experience, provider and staff engagement, and clinical research and quality. The AVP will ensure clinical service plans are coordinated with the Department of Radiation Oncology strategic plans through ongoing alignment and direction from faculty leadership.
The AVP, Radiation Oncology will work closely with the Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology and other senior leaders at Fred Hutch and UW Medicine to develop and grow the radiation oncology research program including providing administrative leadership support to the scientific division on grant funded research and academic activities (faculty recruitment, post-doc program, seminar series, etc.) that support the strategic vision/plan in Precision Radiation Oncology across the research pillars (theranostics, adaptive radiotherapy, radiation and immune modulation, symptom science, AI/informatics, global oncology).
This position will be 1.0FTE/full-time, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm with some variability.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $213,325.00 to $375,107.00, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
This position will be 1.0FTE/full-time, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm with some variability.
