A lab within the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is recruiting a Research Technician whose main focus will be generating and validating bispecific antibodies. This candidate will work directly with the principal investigator and other lab members to perform and analyze experiments using bispecific antibodies and human/murine immune cells. This job is 100% on site.  

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in cloning, expressing and testing bispecific antibodies
  • Tissue culture of primary human cells
  • Multi-parameter flow cytometry-based analysis of human samples
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and report on experimental results
  • Maintain thorough and detailed experimental records

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated scientific knowledge in the area of study
  • Demonstrated basic laboratory skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree in Immunology, Virology, Molecular Biology, or similar.
  • Experience working with animals
  • Experience working with Alpha Fold
  • Competency in basic tissue culture, molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR and gel electrophoresis.
  • The candidate must be detail oriented, well-organized, self-motivated, and able to efficiently manage time and experiments.
  • Strong communication skills

The hourly pay range for this position is from $23.33 to $33.21 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
