This position supervises the Inventory Tech staff in day-to-day operations of Inventory Control within the Supply Chain department: Must keep abreast of changes in medical supply inventory and procedures related to departments to efficiently carry out daily duties under the direction of the Inventory Tech Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Uses an automated inventory control and par leveling system for the ordering, stocking/restocking of medical supplies under the scope of the supply chain management.  
  • Restocks supplies daily and rotates inventory supporting accurate inventory levels, generating requisitions as needed. 
  • Distributes medical supplies to patient care areas, while monitoring par levels for specific products to assure that appropriate levels are established in order not to affect patient care. 
  • Identifies opportunities through the manipulation of par levels, address slow moving inventory by removing product or increasing par levels to meet departmental demand 
  • Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly stock locations and labeling of products. 
  • Acts as liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management as needed. 
  • Effectively prioritize and perform multiple concurrent projects including clinical department restructures. 
  • Collaborate with the Manager to resolve your team's areas' inventory issues by generating workable solutions. 
  • Assists and supports the Inventory Manager with planning and implementing special projects.    
  • Monitor performance of the Inventory Tech staff, which includes daily monitoring, and reviewing assigned medical supply inventory levels by physical count, record keeping and/or visual inspection.  
  • Assign, instruct, and check the work of Inventory Tech under their supervision. 
  • Assist annual and quarterly performance reviews for all Inventory Techs.  
  • Keep all records and documents associated with staff and take part in any disciplinary proceedings in collaboration with the Inventory Tech Manager. 
  • Perform scheduling all work hours for staff and providing coverage for vacations and sick calls with the Inventory Control Tech Manager. 
  • Provide vacation and sick call coverage for Inventory Techs. 
  • Collaborate with Manager to resolve your areas inventory issues by generating workable solutions. 
  • Assist and supports the Inventory Manager with planning and implementing special projects

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Degree, GED, or equivalent combination of education.
  • Minimum three years of experience with health care inventory control and previoius supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Supervisory practices and principles.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of computerized or automated systems operations.
  • Knowledge of record keeping practices.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Basic math skills and knowledge of units of measure.
  • Knowledge of safety practice.
  • Ability to lift heavy packages and objects > 50 lbs. using proper technique.
  • Must be able to push/pull cart with 400 lbs. load.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $31.21 to $46.80 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.  

 

This evening shift (12pm-8:30pm) position will be onsite at our South Lake Union Campus.
