The Imaging & Procedures Senior Director reports to the Vice President and Chief Clinical Operations Officer and is responsible for providing clinical and administrative leadership for the Diagnostic Imaging, Procedure Suite, and Pulmonary departments in partnership with Medical Directors. This position requires strong leadership and judgment to ensure safety and excellence in a high-quality clinical care environment in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Responsible for the delivery of strategic objectives, growth goals, clinical service initiatives, sound financial performance, patient experience, provider and staff engagement, research and quality for the overall program. Collaborates effectively with leaders across Fred Hutch and our partner organizations to deliver on strategic initiatives and related projects.

 

This position will be 1.0FTE/full-time, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

Patient Experience:

  • Ensure a patient centered environment across all locations and prioritize the needs of the patients consistent with the Fred Hutch Mission and Vision.
  • Develop models of care and practice standards to provide patients with comprehensive and safe clinical care at all imaging and procedure locations.

People:

  • Develop, engage and retain high performing teams across all areas of leadership responsibility.
  • Develop and foster a culture that is consistent with Fred Hutch values.
  • Establish, align and support annual performance goals for management and staff.
  • Foster accountability within direct reports to help their teams reach or exceed performance goals. Support direct reports in supporting their teams to align their work and track and accomplishments.
  • Identify and cultivate talent, both direct reports and within teams, and provide opportunities for career development.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports, provide regular performance feedback and development. 

Strategic Direction and Growth:

  • Establish priorities and direction for operational processes, including clinical protocols, guidelines, procedures, and tests.  
  • Develop new programs in partnerships with Medical Directors, Managers and Service Line teams.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in quality, technology, and workflow processes.

Clinical Service Operations / Financial Performance:

  • Responsible for the P&L and growth plans for all imaging and procedure areas
  • Determine the operating budget for imaging and procedures areas and prioritize related capital expenditures.
  • Develop and implement an operational plan and model to meet the operating and capital budget requests.
  • Lead department activities related to quality improvement, risk management and safe practice, ensuring all requirements for federal, state or local regulatory agencies and complies with all TJC guidelines.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field
  • 7+ years healthcare setting
  • 7+ years in progressive leadership role
  • Previous experience in Oncology, Imaging and /or Procedures
  • Experience in healthcare leadership role
  • Demonstrated project and budget management skills
  • Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to set department strategy and drive process improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus
  • Strong customer / patient orientation focus
  • Knowledge of State, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations. Previous regulatory and management experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Working knowledge of accreditation process and standards, health care and credentialing industry, regulatory and legal requirements and other national standards.
  • Significant experience and knowledge in working with other healthcare organizations such as hospitals, managed care, credentialing verification organizations and ambulatory care

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • Nursing or Imaging Licensure

The annual base salary range for this position is from $186,888.00 to $311,459.20, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.  

 

This position will be 1.0FTE/full-time, Monday-Friday.

 

This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.
