We are actively expanding our central team to support Principal Investigators (PIs) and research study teams who are focused on mission-critical clinical trials programs.  This role will be a key member of the Clinical Research Support (CRS) team supporting financial management of studies in the Oncology portfolio.

 

The CRS Clinical Trial Financial Analyst I is primarily responsible for performing post award management activities for an assigned portfolio of clinical trials. Hybrid/remote work options available. 

Responsibilities

  • For identified studies, help ensure study budget entered in the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) is accurate per the Clinical Trial Agreement (CTA) and ready for sponsor invoicing.
  • Carefully coordinate with start-up team to thoroughly understand budget/CTA payment terms and develop plan for invoicing.
  • Review and support Clinical Research Coordinators in timely visit tracking activities that support sponsor invoicing.
  • Generate sponsor invoices timely and help ensure accurate tracking and reporting is available for each study.
  • Review Epic charts and invoices, review and utilize tools such as OnCore CRA Console, Subject Console, Financial Console, Vendor Payables, and Epic Research Module, to help ensure invoices to study budgets are accurate.
  • Work with Clinical Research Coordinators to correct upfront workflow issues if they are identified.
  • Coordinate with billing offices on billing issues if they are identified.
  • Review invoices from other areas such as central shared services (i.e. Pathology), utilize tools such as OnCore to help ensure invoices are accurate.
  • Produce reports of overall study receipts and invoices to present updates to managers; develop QC checks to ensure issues are identified early.
  • Document lessons learned and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ clinical trials experience and/or financial operations preferably in clinical trial financial operations.
  • Keen attention to detail, and consistent ability to perform job functions in a high-quality manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customer teams.
  • Experience working with clinical trial management systems, preferably financial systems, and Epic billing functions.
  • Excellent computer skills including ability to use tools such as Excel effectively for tracking and reporting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience performing clinical trial management/administration and/or sponsor invoicing activities utilizing OnCore or another CTMS system.
  • Experience performing or reviewing clinical trial management/administration activities utilizing EPIC or another patient billing and registration system.
  • Experience performing study management activities at a research institute preferably a cancer center.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $31.21 to $46.80 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
This role will have the opportunity to work partially at our campus and remotely.
