The Fred Hutch Office of General Counsel ("OGC") provides comprehensive legal advice and counsel to the Fred Hutch Board of Directors and to the administrators, faculty, health care providers and staff of Fred Hutch when they are acting in the course of their duties on behalf of Fred Hutch. OGC represents Fred Hutch in relation to all legal matters involving Fred Hutch and provides advice and representation with respect to a broad variety of matters and issues, including contracts, research, clinical care, health care and research compliance, employment law, intellectual property, technology commercialization, real estate, conflict of interest, campus security, policy development and interpretation, administrative proceedings, and litigation. OGC also provides risk management and policy program support and implementation assistance. The OGC team currently consists of six (6) attorneys, a risk management team of three (3) specialists, a policy administrator, a legal operations specialist and two (2) professional support members.
The Fred Hutch Office of General Counsel seeks a collegial and experienced individual to serve as a Paralegal Professional ("Paralegal") under the direction and control of the Vice President and General Counsel or their designee. The Paralegal will be expected to work cooperatively with the other members of the OGC legal, risk, policy and professional team to provide high quality and timely services.
This role will have the opportunity to work partially at our campus and remotely.
The primary role of the Paralegal will be to coordinate the provision of legal services by the OGC team and to provide Paralegal services for the completion of various tasks and duties incluging, without limitation, the following:
The Paralegal will be required to function at a high level of independence in performing complex contract negotiations and related transactional work. The Paralegal will also need to have a familiarity and understanding of basic legal concepts and practices common in an in-house counsel setting.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $82,846 to $124,238, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
