The Accounting Specialist III - Payment Management is an integral part of the Accounts Payable (AP) team. The primary mission of the accounts payable team is to provide accurate, timely payments and actionable financial information, as appropriate, to our various clients, efficiently and cost effectively. The team is also responsible for creating and monitoring payment KPIs that support business growth while mitigating risk and managing regulatory requirements and maintaining internal and external compliances.  This position reports directly to the AP Assistant Manager.

 

Hybrid Role. Candidate would be required to come onsite at least once a week.  

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and run all payment processes
  • Record International Payments
  • Reviews and approve check audit spreadsheet
  • Gift Card Purchases
  • Daily monitoring of BoA applications (Works, Paymode-X & Cashpro Positive Pay)
  • Manages annual BoA calling campaign (ACH & V-Card enrollment)
  • Perform transaction processing in primary and secondary areas of expertise
  • Support corresponding external and internal audit requests
  • Ensuring compliance with ever more complex laws and regulations
  • Create and maintain procedural and training documentation
  • Cross-train and mentor members of the Accounts Payable team
  • Proactively identify issues and suggest process improvement initiatives
  • Provide efficient customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in strategic, technical, and business process projects of varying scale and duration

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field, but not required
  • Minimum of six years in bookkeeping, AP or related financial experience
  • Strong technology skills including efficiency with 10 key, experience with desktop applications including MS Excel, MS Work, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook
  • Must be willing to develop expertise in FMS PeopleSoft and related queries and standard reports, e.g. invoices, journal entries. Training will be provided
  • Person must be diligent and self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Ability to process transactions consistently and accurately
  • Must have excellent work habits, including organization and timeliness
  • Should have strong interpersonal communication skills and desire to work in team-oriented environments

The hourly pay range for this position is from $25.71 to $36.60 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
