The Identity & Access Management Team is responsible for ensuring that correctly assigned individuals and assets have access to the necessary systems “just-in-time” aligning with defined risks and controls. The Identity & Access Management Analyst I is responsible for creating, maintaining, and supporting Identity & Access Management systems, processes and procedures which deliver enterprise-wide identity, access, and authentication services for the Fred Hutch workforceThe IAM Analyst I ensures the timely completion of access requests for Fred Hutch employees and non-employees through automated and manual processes. The IAM Analyst I will analyze access requests to various business and clinical applications and systems to ensure the requests are properly authorized and in compliance with company policies and regulations. The IAM Analyst I also will work closely with affiliate partners and internal business and clinical teams to ensure access levels are appropriate and access roles are properly defined and documented while reviewing, as possible, for enhancement opportunities. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely provisioning and deprovisioning of user accounts and access permissions to Fred Hutch and third-party systems and applications using automated and manual processes. 
  • Monitor and maintain IAM systems processes and work queues to ensure proper systems function and access request fulfillment. 
  • Creates and maintains user documentation and training materials related to access request processes. 
  • Perform data cleanup and facilitate access reviews, report results, and escalate issues as appropriate to management. 
  • Helps drive continuous process improvement related to identity and access management systems and related processes. 
  • Identifies and develops birthright roles and access rights. 
  • Troubleshoot and assist users with multi-factor authentication issues 
  • Partner with IT and other clinical/business teams to enhance provisioning and access management processes 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with specialization in an information technology field or equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or certification preferred. 
  • 3 years hands-on information technology experience 
  • Experience and understanding of identity and access management and correlating concepts, such as Role-based Access Control, user directories, Single Sign-On, privileged access management, and multifactor authentication (MFA). 
  • Exceptional attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and customer service skills. 
  • Understanding of Active Directory objects and structures, Exchange and SharePoint Online permissions and processes. 
  • Experience in either healthcare, research and/or clinical industries  

 

Preferred: 

  • Knowledge of application programming interface (API) concepts and methods 
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and/or previous experience in a healthcare environment strongly preferred. 
  • Familiarity with information security policies, standards, industry best practices, and frameworks. (ISO 27001, NIST 800-53/66/207, CIS, HITRUST, etc.) 
  • Working knowledge of privileged user management tools desired 
  • Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (or similar) desired. 
  • Experience performing security investigations and incident response tasks 
  • General information security certification (e.g., CISSP, GSEC, etc.) 
  • Experience with IAM within Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure

The annual base salary range for this position is from $74,358 to $111,536 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
