A Research Technician I or II position (full-time) is immediately available in the Cheung Laboratory within Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center’s Translational Research Program. The major interest of the Cheung Lab is to discover and characterize collective tumor cell interactions involved in breast cancer metastasis and therapy resistance, the cause of 40,000 deaths in the USA and half a million deaths worldwide every year. Our lab uses 3D tumor organoids, time-lapse imaging, and in vivo animal models to discover and characterize the physical and biochemical interactions giving rise to collective tumor cell dynamics and emergent multicellular behaviors. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate in the topic of cancer dissemination/organoid modeling/collective signaling using ex-vivo organoid and in vivo metastasis models. This position will work under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Laboratory Personnel to advance the scientific mission. Responsibilities will include lab maintenance (ordering, animal husbandry, lab stocks), cell culture, and experimental studies using animals. In addition to work aiding others in the laboratory, the individual will be responsible for conducting and completing an individual research project. We are looking for candidates that are excited about science, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and value teamwork and diversity. Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Research Technician I: The hourly pay range for this position is from $21.56 to $30.69 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
Research Technician II: The hourly pay range for this position is from $24.96 to $35.53 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
