The Accounts Payable team has a wide range of responsibilities relating to all aspects of Fred Hutch’s finances including payments, policy setting, recording liabilities for accrual purposes, and high-volume transaction processing including employee reimbursements. The team works closely with multiple groups within Fred Hutch to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Focus for the Accounting Specialist III will be coordination of Procurement Card and travel expenses. Successful candidate will work with the Expense Lead as well as the P-Card Administrator to administer and maintain the Hutch P-Card program, be responsible for complete monthly audit of P-Card transactions, tax review, and produce journals to accurately charge transactions.

Responsibilities

 

  • Review and monitor Hutch issued procurement card transactions
  • Monitor compliance to the Hutch P-Card and travel policies
  • Work with credit card company and employees to assist in transaction disputes as well as any card related issues
  • Provide continual audits of card transactions and reporting as needed
  • Communicate and implement Hutch P-Card policies and procedures
  • Train card holders on above, as well as applications and on-line reconciliation
  • Review taxability of transactions
  • Prepare monthly journals for Finance to accurately charge Hutch projects.

Qualifications

 

  • High school graduation or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field, but not
    required
  • Three to five years of experience working with bank sponsored credit card programs
  • Experience with bank sponsored credit card program software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Well organized with attention to detail
  • PeopleSoft experience advantageous

The hourly pay range for this position is from $24.96 to $35.53 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
