We are seeking an experienced Senior HRIS Analyst to join our team. The Senior HRIS Analyst works closely with other members of the HRIS team responsible for support of Workday and other Human Resource/payroll systems. Most Fred Hutch jobs require some on-campus work. However, there may be flexibility for certain positions. Responsibilities

  • Design, gather requirements, test, and deploy configurations for multiple modules within Workday including Compensation, Benefits, Security, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and HCM.
  • Develop reports, calculated fields and dashboards in Workday, Tableau, SQL, and Excel to build metrics, perform analysis, create visualizations and summarize findings to present to a variety of audiences including HR, department leadership, executives and external agencies. 
  • Provide functional support for Workday end-users through training, troubleshooting, and responding to general HRIS systems questions.
  • Lead or assist in the end-to-end project management of HR projects, including defining project vision, identifying/managing resources, scheduling meetings, creating test scripts, and documenting a project plan with key milestones and tasks. Recurring projects include annual open enrollment, annual merit updates, ACA reporting, and performance reviews.
  • Support major Workday releases by researching new functionality, testing (new functionality and regression testing), implementation and assist with change management plan.
  • Create and maintain Workday EIB templates for uploading employee data changes.
  • Maintain data integrity by auditing, correcting, identifying causes, and proposing solutions for data inconsistencies.
  • Analyze and document business processes, fit-gap analysis, inefficiencies, and risks to determine appropriate process and system design.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of system design, configuration, requirements, test scripts and training materials.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related functional field), or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of progressive HRIS experience supporting complex HR and/or payroll systems.
  • 3+ years experience with Workday HCM.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience designing, configuring and testing complex reports.Solid project management skills along with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong technical skills in analyzing functional business processes, process modeling, business modeling tools, developing system solutions and documentation standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to facilitate effective working relationships.
  • Ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities.
  • Proven record of negotiating delivery commitments and meeting expectations.
  • Ability to successfully partner with vendors/agencies and internal stakeholders; ability to work within a cross-functional team environment where teams are sometimes located remotely.
  • Experience with change management methods and programs a plus.
  • Ability to provide guidance to consumers on interpreting HR data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Peoplesoft knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with Workday EIB, Integrations and Studio.
  • Experience with SQL and Tableau report creation.
  • In addition to job duties at Fred Hutch, this position also requires access to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, which requires COVID-19 vaccination without exceptions.
