The Enterprise Epic Reporting Analyst will lead reporting and analytic projects that promote data-driven decision making and a culture of analytics throughout the organization. This position will create analytics content for end users with Epic Cogito reporting and analytics tools including but not limited to Radar Dashboards, Reporting Workbench and SlicerDicer.  This individual will leverage subject matter expertise in clinical workflows as well as knowledge of the cancer care domain to enable Fred Hutchison Cancer Center to improve patient outcomes, patient experience quality of care, and operational efficiency.


  • Work collaboratively with business partners that enable Clinical Analytics to develop standard metrics based on the analytical needs of the organization and effectively present this information to key customers. The customers who receive this information include Fred Hutchison Cancer Center senior leaders, department managers, healthcare providers and outside agencies.
  • Develop subject matter expertise around key cancer programs, supportive services and outpatient clinical operations specific to the Fred Hutchison Cancer Center.
  • Efficiently share key learnings with analyst community and promote Clinical analytics capabilities with business partners.
  • Lead analytical efforts related to continuous process improvement (CPI) initiatives, enterprise sponsored projects, ad hoc enquiries and automated reporting.
  • Advance competencies around core applications/tools: Epic, Cerner, Business Objects, Tableau and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Participate in projects related to design, development, documentation and maintenance of business intelligence capabilities.
  • Provide user education on information delivery system/capabilities with the goal of reduced reliance, over time, on Clinical Analytics.



  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare informatics, business/healthcare administration or equivalent
  • Minimum five years of experience in data development/business intelligence/analytics
  • Experience working with Epic Cogito tools (SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, etc.)
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, especially between colleagues and operational staff
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams to produce high-quality work products
  • Strong personal initiative, learning focus, and attention to detail
  • Intermediate SQL language knowledge
  • Experience with the MS Office Suite



  • Master's degree or five to eight years of experience in data development/business intelligence/analytics
  • Epic Cogito Fundamentals Certification
  • Familiarity with Epic Applications (Beacon, Ambulatory, Willow, Radiant, etc)
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry and terminology and/or experience working with healthcare data (e.g. scheduling, billing, clinical, research data, etc.)
  • Experience with and knowledge of business intelligence tools and capabilities (e.g. SSMS, Tableau, OLAP, R or other statistics packages, data warehousing, data modeling)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology


Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, and there are no exceptions for any employee who is patient-facing and/or requires access to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center facilities.
