The Project Coordinator will be responsible for administrative and project related activities conducted under the AVP of Strategy and Planning. This position will provide support for the strategic plan, organizational-wide projects, data initiatives, trainings, and other programmatic efforts.

Responsibilities

The role will report to the Associate Vice President of Strategy and Planning and works independently in performing responsibilities across multiple initiatives and projects. Responsibilities include: 

  • Coordinate logistics for the annual planning cycle, projects, and other administrative efforts. Includes calendaring, organization of materials, meeting support, communications, and related activities.
  • Provide comprehensive project support which includes meeting and event planning, tracking activities to timelines, data entry and support, and assisting in management of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Communicate to a variety of stakeholders via written correspondence, in-person and phone to complete projects, provide updates, and share information.
  • Provide excellent customer service as needed. Develop and maintain efficient communication processes.
  • Work collaboratively/cooperatively with others on the team and individuals across the organization to develop positive working relationships. 
  • Create, review and update relevant process, procedures and SOPs to effectively and efficiently perform job.
  • Perform basic data analysis and benchmarking as needed to inform projects. Includes creation of graphs and tables and external review of information. Produce special and recurring reports as needed from both internal and external data sources. Work with team to ensure integrity of data.
  • Oversee management internal communication channels and document repositories. Provide effective organization and management of documents.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and one year experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written and/or interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to complete multiple tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated work experience handling multiple responsibilities, setting priorities, taking initiative and meeting deadlines.
  • Must have interest in organizational strategy and planning.
  • Must be computer literate and have the ability to use personal computer based applications – MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous project based work experience in a research or healthcare setting.

In addition to job duties at Fred Hutch, this position also requires access to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, which requires COVID-19 vaccination without exceptions.
Accordingly, as a condition of employment for this Fred Hutch position, newly hired employees must provide proof of vaccination before their first day of employment.
