The Senior Reporting Analyst will lead implementation efforts of SCCA's Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics strategy to build out a robust, standard and optimized reporting program. This individual will work closely with peers across the Alliance, SCCA Clinical Analysts and report end users to assess the data landscape and make recommendations to ensure successful strategic direction. This role will be responsible for establishing standard and sustainable processes for the entire reporting life cycle as well as promoting self-service business intelligence solutions throughout the SCCA.


  • Establish inhouse expertise in Epic reporting and analytic tools, with a focus on learning application best practices to ensure the development of sustainable and scalable solutions.
  • Partner with Clinical Analytics leadership to develop, test and implement SCCA’s Reporting Framework and Self-Service Strategy, providing recommendations, critical feedback and innovative ideas.
  • Build relationships with alliance members and lead engagements to promote effective utilization, systems coordination and expertise of core applications/tools: Epic, Cerner, Business Objects, Tableau and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Make recommendations on key competencies and tools necessary to advance the reporting strategy at the SCCA, ensuring that recommendations are in alignment with the strategic plan of the SCCA and the goals of operational teams.
  • Develop and socialize self-service pathways to meet business partner basic reporting and analytic needs, reducing reliance on Clinical Analytics.
  • Deliver resources, training, and coaching on data development and business intelligence solutions for analysts and end users.
  • Mentor colleagues on reporting and business intelligence best practices.
  • Maintain and monitor SCCA’s reporting portfolio.



  • BA/BS in healthcare informatics, business/healthcare administration or computer science
  • 9+ years of experience in reporting/data development/business intelligence/analytics
  • Passion for data, reporting, analytics and business intelligence
  • Ability to learn new tools and content (e.g. data sources) quickly and independently
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel
  • Highly proficient with MS SQL Server, T-SQL development (SSMS is implied)
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging SSIS to import and transform data
  • Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal
  • Efficient/good time management and flexible
  • Demonstrated collaboration and relationship management abilities



  • Master’s degree or 10 years of experience in data development/business intelligence/analytics
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry and terminology and/or experience working with healthcare data (e.g. scheduling, billing, clinical, research data)
  • Experience with and knowledge of business intelligence tools and capabilities (e.g. SSRS, Tableau, MDR, R, other reporting software, data warehousing, data modeling)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology
  • Leadership positions within business intelligence and or data management communities
  • Experience with in application healthcare reporting (e.g. Epic, Cerner)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server
  • Experience demonstrating technical concepts to individuals and groups with mixed technical core competencies

SCCA has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, and there are no exceptions for any employee who is patient-facing and/or requires access to SCCA facilities.
