The Talent Acquisition Manager supports the clinical recruiting team and contributes to the development and implementation of recruiting strategies for the organization in partnership with the Director of Talent Acquisition. The manager ensures the team of recruiters and recruiting coordinators have the resources and support they need to be successful in a full cycle recruiting environment. This key leadership role develops and relies on metrics, effective business partnerships, deep knowledge of recruiting best practices and the development of an effective team environment to deliver recruiting success.


The recruiting team supports recruiting across departments of including clinical and administrative staff.


  • Lead, develop and inspire a team of recruiters and recruiting coordinators to ensure staffing needs are successfully met for clinical and administrative positions.
  • Drive the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to attract a diverse applicant pool
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand objectives, assess hiring needs, create recruitment strategies, and manage searches through the recruitment life cycle
  • Develop, track, and achieve recruitment measures and metrics to show success on overall recruitment actions, goals, and progress versus plan
  • Coach and guide the team by setting expectations, providing feedback, and developing competencies
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, training materials, and reports
  • Ensure team members have the information, resources, and technology needed to operate effectively
  • Provide training to hiring managers and recruiters on recruiting best practices
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation on all recruiting activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Work collaboratively with other members of HR to meet department goals and objectives
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of full-cycle talent acquisition experience; expertise in a healthcare/clinical setting highly desirable
  • 3+ years of recruiting management/lead experience
  • Demonstrates strong project management, initiative, and complex problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to support growth and develop teams, maximizing their performance
  • Ability to build authentic, productive, and collaborative relationships with department leaders, hiring managers, and executives across the organization
  • Process-oriented and compliance driven
  • Knowledge of federal & state employment laws
  • Experience with HR/Recruiting technology including HRIS, ATS & reporting tools; iCIMS and Workday preferred
  • High-level proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to analyze data in Excel

In addition to job duties at Fred Hutch, this position also requires access to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, which requires COVID-19 vaccination without exceptions.
Accordingly, as a condition of employment for this Fred Hutch position, newly hired employees must provide proof of vaccination before their first day of employment.
