We're seeking a Sr. Epic Beacon Application Analyst for a FTE opportunity located in Seattle, WA. This position will help lead the system design and build efforts for the Beacon module at SCCA with a focus on optimizing usability and improving user experience. 



  • Develop and optimize oncology user system workflows for maximum usability.
  • Evaluate application technologies and make recommendations for best use to support workflows and business processes.
  • Provide application support, technical guidance, and serve as a resolution point for Epic Beacon issues at SCCA. 
  • Represent oncology workflows and system configuration as a part of complex projects and installs.
  • Serve as a knowledge lead regarding system build and testing for other members of the team.
  • Acts as user liaison between clinical or business departments and Information Systems; providing domain expertise and experience for multiple interacting healthcare departments and institutions.




  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Four years of IT experience; preferably in a health care setting
  • Able to rapidly solve IT systems problems that interfere with or disable clinical operations.
  • Ability to identify and triage issues appropriately. 
  • Ability to organize and  prioritize concurrent responsibilities and demands.
  • Ability to use initiative and sound judgment in carrying out responsibilities.
  • Ability to meet timelines for assigned tasks.
  • Ability to train others in how to use systems.
  • Ability to build relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
  • Ability to work in a complex, fast paced, health care environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in advancing technical capability. 
  • Customer service skills



  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or Information Technology
  • One year of experience supervising other employees
  • EpicCare Ambulatory Certification
  • Oncology Research system knowledge/experience
  • Experience with Epic’s reporting tools
  • MS Visio, Excel
  • Transact SQL
  • Crystal Reports


SCCA has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, and there are no exceptions for any employee who is patient-facing and/or requires access to SCCA facilities.
