The HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) Laboratory Center (led by Julie McElrath, PI and Director) in the Immunology & Vaccine Development Program of the Vaccine & Infectious Disease Division (VIDD) is dedicated to understanding human immune responses and mechanisms of vaccine-induced immune protection against HIV, SARS-CoV-2 and other infectious diseases, such as malaria, Ebola and tuberculosis. The laboratory conducts cutting-edge research with high impact globally and provides data that informs vaccine development and immune correlates of vaccine-induced protection. The Fred Hutch laboratory is one component of the HVTN Laboratory Center including highly collaborative laboratories at Duke University and in South Africa.
The HVTN Lab Research Project Manager will be responsible for driving diverse, high profile investigations through the operational management of individual and collaborative laboratory studies within and outside of the HVTN Laboratory Program. Activities include but are not limited to tracking project milestones, maintaining communications with investigators and HVTN leadership, coordinating regulatory reviews and legal agreements and other duties as required in support of the HVTN Program.
The HVTN Lab Project Manager will work collaboratively and demonstrate the ability to efficiently manage dynamic timelines and priorities. The position requires excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. This position will report directly to the HVTN Laboratory Associate Director and be a key liaison for the HVTN Laboratory Center Principal Investigator/Director.
