This role is required to work partially at our campus.


Under direction from the Fred Hutch Talent Acquisition Manager, this position supports recruiting for Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

  • Conduct candidate interviews to qualify them within the position requirements and share information on our company, compensation package, position details, and expectations
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop and execute sourcing and closing strategies for scientific, administrative, and technical positions
  • Source passive and active candidates for talent pipelines positions, with a focus on diversity
  • Maintain a focus on candidate experience throughout all phases of the recruiting process
  • Participate in both in-person and virtual recruiting events such as college recruiting, industry conferences, and career fairs
  • Capture and maintain complete documentation on candidates’ qualifications and status in systems and within compliance guidelines
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of current programs and process to make recommendations for improvement
  • Other duties as assigned



  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience with candidate sourcing and full lifecycle recruiting or experience working in a laboratory setting paired with recruiting
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders (including but not limited to setting expectations, advising on process, clear communication)
  • Proficiency sourcing passive candidates
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • High degree of initiative; must be able to work independently, be a self-starter and a strong team player
  • Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite



  • Bachelor’s degree (science-related majors preferred)
  • HR Certification
  • Experience recruiting in the Biotech/Life Science industry
  • Combination of agency and in-house recruiting experience
  • Consulting experience
  • Postdoc recruiting experience


In addition to job duties at Fred Hutch, this position also requires access to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, which requires COVID-19 vaccination without exceptions.
Accordingly, as a condition of employment for this Fred Hutch position, newly hired employees must provide proof of vaccination before their first day of employment.
