The Program of Immunology and Clinical Research Division is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Research Technician I to work in the pre-clinical research laboratory of Dr. Greenberg.


  • Molecular techniques including DNA extraction and manipulation, cloning and bacteria cultures, PCR
  • Isolate lymphocytes from blood to generate human T cell lines and clones
  • Isolate lymphocytes from mouse spleens and engineer mouse T cells
  • Maintain good cell culture practices and sterile technique
  • Potential to expand into sophisticated protocols including multiparameter flow cytometry, histological imaging, CRISPR engineering and single cell RNA sequencing
  • Basic mouse husbandry: breeding, weaning, genotyping
  • Maintain meticulous records, organization
  • Clearly communicate experimental progress and results
  • General lab maintenance and organization
  • Sample management 


  • A bachelor’s degree in a biological science or related field required; preference for completed basic immunology course work
  • Prior bench research experience through undergraduate or post-graduate endeavors preferable. Particular emphasis on tissue culture, flow cytometry, and molecular techniques (PCR, DNA sequencing, molecular cloning, viral vector construction, western blotting)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Fluency with mathematics including scientific units and Microsoft Office software
  • Motivation, enthusiasm, demonstrated reliability, self-sufficiency, professionalism, and ability to work closely with a large and diverse team
