The Termini Lab at Fred Hutch is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow, to join our team in the summer of 2022, with a focus on hematopoietic stem cell and microenvironment regeneration. The research effort involves expertise in cell and molecular biology and experience with transgenic mouse models. The candidate will work under the PI and with other members of the research team. The candidate will be expected to publish and present their work in both internal and external events.


  • Play a major role in projects testing hematopoietic stem cell function in vitro and in vivo after myelosuppressive therapies.
  • Design, execute, and interpret experiments in cellular and molecular biology.
  • Lead a project focused on hematopoietic regeneration and assist other lab members in carrying out aspects of this project as needed.
  • Help prepare figures for publications, write, and edit manuscripts/abstracts.
  • Present work at internal and external scientific events.



  • Recent Ph.D. in a scientific field is required.
  • The individual must possess expertise in cell biology, basic cell culture techniques, and experience with murine models.
  • Experience is preferred in one or more of the following areas: transgenic mouse models, flow cytometry/fluorescence activated cell sorting, molecular biology (quantitative PCR, RNA sequencing), biochemistry.
  • The ideal candidate will work well in an interactive and collaborative scientific environment with a significant degree of independence.
  • To be successful in this position, the candidate must be intellectually curious, have strong critical thinking skills and be highly motivated.
