Working within the Clinical Research Center (CRC), the Project Manager will be responsible for all project management activities related to the CRC with an emphasis on community engagement and outreach. The PM will implement public relations tactics to create awareness about the clinic, increase visibility and help inform trusted voices in the communities who impact the decision making process. The PM manages internal collaborations across multiple departments and workgroups to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met in an efficient manner. This position requires flexibility in a rapidly changing environment, attention to detail and strong communication skills.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall coordination and management of complex CRC projects and will be accountable for the CRC’s community engagement efforts.


Project management

  • Oversee the implementation of complex projects at the interface of the clinical research facility, administrative operations and the study teams
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder expectations
  • Lead cross-functional teams, create timelines and track action items and deliverables
  • Triage project issues and ensure solutions are implemented
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to determine prioritization of competing activities
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with faculty members, project sponsors, research administration, administrative departments and peers
  • Manage multiple projects of varying size as assigned

Community Engagement

  • Lead communication strategies aimed to increase community awareness and increase enrollment in CRC clinical trials
  • Identify appropriate marketing audiences and engage with diverse populations to provide trial information
  • Coordinate and distribute press releases and marketing materials


  • BA/BS in related field required.  
  • Minimum of three years post-master's or five years post-bachelor's related project/study management or community engagement experience
  • 2+ years of experience in project management and/or communications.
  • Highly effective team player and excellent communicator with an ability to interact with and influence internal and external stakeholders and work with scientists and executives with diverse information needs and communications preferences.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced meeting organization and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with Project Management methodologies and tools
  • Advanced computer skills required, and deep experience with at least one Project Management software tool (e.g., Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, Basecamp, SharePoint etc.) preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
