We are seeking an experienced Senior HRIS Manager to join our team. The chosen candidate will lead a high performance, mission driven, development team responsible for support of Workday, PeopleSoft, and other HR/Payroll systems.

 

The Senior HRIS Manager provides technical expertise and ongoing operational support for HR Systems and is responsible for ensuring the HRIS team is meeting the needs of our customers regarding data integrity, reporting and analytics, data flows, troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Senior Manager for HRIS - Lead and mentor a team of analysts and developers -- coach, teach, guide, motivate and inspire the team, set goals, assign projects, and ensuring deadlines are met. Support, troubleshoot and resolve customer issues/requests. Support implementations, releases and testing of all systems. Organize and work with teams to research and resolve production HCM/Payroll issues. Document/maintain business processes.
  • Serve as technical expert for all things Workday -- Engaging with external user groups to ensure that we are levering current and future Workday capabilities. Oversee the design of reports and provides analytics to relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive adoption, optimization and transformation - Ensure we are fully leveraging Workday to meet strategic business needs and pursue continuous improvement in business processes, integration, automation, and user experience.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders - Partner with COEs and other stakeholders to review and prioritize system enhancement requests. Identify and clarify business requirements, create functional specifications and configure to meet business objectives.
  • Manage HRIS workload – Manage team intake process, assignments, tracking projects/tasks and look for streamlining opportunities. Own planning and release strategies for Workday semi-annual releases as well as new features, enhancements, and bug fixes by the team.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in computer science, business administration or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 5+ years of management experience, managing and prioritizing day-to-day work and coaching and developing technical and analytical skills
  • 7+ years of Human Resource Systems experience and a broad knowledge of HR/Payroll systems
  • 2+ years’ experience with design, configuration, and delivery of Workday HCM or similar systems
  • Participation in a full life cycle HRIS implementation as an HR technical resource is preferred
  • Experience defining HR systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
  • Project Management skills including ability to break complex projects into manageable tasks, identify and engage appropriate resources, and deliver accurate, on-time results
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to investigate, study, analyze and identify trends; a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity is essential
  • Strong ability to manage workload that is subject to changing priorities, attention to detail, high level of accuracy and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Solid query, reporting and data analysis skills (Tableau experience preferred)
  • Strong written, verbal and listening skills to engage stakeholders, truly understand their needs, and influence to deliver best results
  • Strong cross-functional partner able to work with stakeholders across the organization, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical professionals
  • Strong prioritization skills able to evaluate new opportunities and asks, determine requirements and prioritize based on business goals, return on investment, and risks to deliver near-term value without sacrificing long-term effectiveness
  • Creative and innovative thinker able to identify and propose unique technical and process solutions to meet business goals and operations
