The Bloom Lab is seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to further develop an important visualization platform that can be applied to looking at mutations in proteins, including from viruses ( to assist with the Lab's current and future projects, manuscripts, and systems. The fellow will develop and maintain an interactive JavaScript platform for visualization of deep mutational scanning data. They will aid in the analysis and interpretation of these data in the context of viral immunity and evolution. This includes computer programming, data analysis, and close collaboration with experimentalists. 


To be considered, candidates must have:


  • PhD in Genomics or a related field 
  • Certificate in data science
  • At least three first-author publications
  • A strong foundation in computational biology
  • Candidates need to be highly motivated and well-organized individuals who think independently, but enjoy working as part of a dynamic and collaborative team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with deep mutational scanning data
  • Expertise in viral evolution
  • Extensive experience with interactive web platforms
