The Data Warehouse Team within SCCA Information Technology is responsible for designing, developing and supporting SCCA data systems and integration for both operational and analytical purposes.  The team plays an integral part in supporting the organization’s mission by providing data and insights that drive strategic initiatives and key business decisions.   


Under the guidance of the Data Warehouse Manager, the Business Analyst III is responsible for supporting and managing data warehouse projects through requirements gathering, data discovery/profiling/analysis, data definitions validation, and user acceptance testing in partnership with our Clinical Analytics team and subject matter experts.


The Business Analyst III will build cohesive relationships with business partners to develop analytics and business intelligence solutions based on the needs of the organization and to effectively present this information to customers. As a member of an agile team, the Business Analyst III will participate in daily and weekly meetings to coordinate efforts.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners to gather high level requirements and guide the development of enterprise wide definitions for core business concepts
  • Work with business partners to understand and develop clear and defined problem statements
  • Develop subject matter expertise around key cancer programs, supportive services, and outpatient clinical operations specific to the SCCA
  • Work on multiple projects in parallel



  • BA/BS in healthcare informatics, other similar degree, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrated data warehousing & business intelligence experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience using T-SQL
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional at meeting facilitation with the ability to take abstract concepts and make them tangible
  • Assemble clear and concise documentation of business problems, use cases, and requirements
  • Strong communication skills, especially between technical and lay audiences
  • Build cross team collaboration to produce high-quality work products
  • Manage business expectations and deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills



  • Master’s degree or 5-8 years of experience in data development/business intelligence/analytics
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry and terminology and/or experience working with healthcare data (e.g. scheduling, billing, clinical, research data)
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations
  • Experience with Epic healthcare systems
  • Familiarly with the Systems/Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience with Agile software development
