The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), located in Seattle, Washington, is part of a dynamic collaboration among three organizations known nationally and internationally for their patient care and research: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, and Seattle Children's. Over the past 25 years, these institutions have worked together to support their mission of adult and pediatric oncology patient care services, research and education.
Under the general direction of the Associate Director of Quality and Patient Safety, the Quality and Patient Safety Program Manager investigates patient safety events, facilitates improvement projects and oversees ongoing analysis to ensure sustainability of action items and reduce risk of patient harm. The Quality and Patient Safety Program Manager builds and maintains strong relationships with Senior Leadership, Operations Stakeholders, Clinical Risk and Quality Teams to supports clinical excellence and patient outcomes.
This position will work in a collaborative manner across the SCCA’s ambulatory clinics and inpatient hospital to support patient safety and quality improvement initiatives. The incumbent is a team player who works well with minimal supervision to coordinate, implement and manage tasks as assigned. Excellent communication skills are required for work with operations leadership and front-line staff to help support and project manage quality improvement initiatives. Flexibility is required to adapt and manage shifting priorities.
