    Fred Hutch offers our scientists and investigators a multi-million-dollar Core Facilities program. Core Facilities are centralized shared resources that provide access to cutting-edge technologies, instruments, services as well as expert consultation for scientific and clinical investigators. Each of our fifteen core facilities is a discrete unit within the institution with dedicated personnel, equipment, and space for operations.


    Center Information Technology (CIT) is looking for an outstanding, customer-focused SharePoint Developer II to join the SharePoint Support team, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Application Services. The SharePoint Developer will be the team’s technical and development specialist, partnering with the SharePoint Business and Support Analysts to provide collaborative and comprehensive support for the center’s active and growing SharePoint community. Key responsibilities include development, ongoing optimization of custom workflows and InfoPath forms, introduction of new techniques and methods, and SharePoint support services.


    • Work with SharePoint BA to identify opportunities where SharePoint can provide business process improvements and translate those into solutions that leverage SharePoint out of the box functionality and, where appropriate, custom development
    • Work with customers, SharePoint colleagues, technical staff, and project managers to estimate, develop, test, release and document new solutions and improvements to existing apps
    • Document requirements, specifications, and user-facing content as required for SharePoint solutions
    • Assist SharePoint BA in analysis of current solutions, site collections, etc. for purpose of training, documentation and steady state support
    • Participate in Agile framework (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure timely iterative delivery
    • Contribute to the ongoing daily support of SharePoint in the center, including service requests and incident tickets
    • Help to maintain center-supported SharePoint solutions and make recommendations for enhancements that will improve efficiency and reduce waste or technical debt


    Minimum qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience
    • 3+ years developing & supporting the SharePoint platform
    • Fluent application of JavaScript and JQuery
    • SharePoint Online (Office 365) and SharePoint 2013 experience
    • Familiarity with PowerApps, Flow, Logic Apps, Microsoft Graph, Infopath and Nintex Suite
    • Experience leading migration projects to SharePoint Online or OnPrem (using Metalogix, AvePoint, ShareGate, etc)
    • Strong experience with APIs and SharePoint plugins and integrations
    • Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint features (e.g., web parts, site collections, content deployment, Excel Services, Business Data Catalog, site columns, content types, native and custom workflows, advanced search, content pages, and search settings)
    • Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodology
    • Experience with optimization, troubleshooting, and systematic testing
    • Must be able to work with technical and non-technical teams and with customers of diverse academic, cultural, and professional backgrounds
    • Works well in a highly collaborative team and also able to focus independently with minimal supervision

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience working in a research, biotech, or academic environment
    • Working knowledge of related technologies is desirable
