    Under the guidance of the Project Coordinator and Principal Investigator, the non-paid Research Intern will contribute to tasks throughout the entire research process, including preparing study materials for implementation, assisting with data entry and analyses, and performing other varied support functions related to research activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in developing and compiling documents and databases necessary for participant recruitment, consenting, and data tracking
    • Contribute to quantitative and qualitative data entry and analysis of research projects. This will include preparing data for computer input, verifying the accuracy of research data, and generating summary data.  Opportunity to contribute to preparation and dissemination of study findings available.
    • Deliver general research support functions, including note-taking during meetings, transcribing and proofreading research documents (e.g. audiotape transcription, dictation for journal reviews, research budget justifications), performing background literature reviews
    • Attend appropriate training sessions and group meetings

    Qualifications

    • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
    • This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, and solid organizational skills
    • Basic qualitative and statistical data analysis experience with ATLAS.ti and SPSS a plus
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skill is desirable
