    The Basic Sciences Division has an opening for a Laboratory Aide to work part-time in a laboratory that uses yeast as a model system to uncover the mechanisms that control accurate chromosome segregation. This is a work-study eligible position.


    Duties include making media and stock solutions as necessary and other related duties such as autoclaving lab supplies, as well as other assigned duties to support the research program.



    • Completion of a high school degree or equivalent.
    • The hours are flexible, but the incumbent must have time to work 2-3 days/week (Monday-Friday) and between 8:00AM-7:00PM.
    • Candidates should be organized and work well with others.



    • Experience in a laboratory is preferred but not necessary.
    • Although this is not a research position, applicants should have basic scientific skills and preferably be majoring in biology or chemistry.
