    Responsibilities

    • Provide basic administrative support to the faculty, financial team and laboratory staff as needed
    • Assist with weekly expenditures, pulling information and data from multiple electronic sources and creating backup documents for records
    • Perform related administrative support duties as required

    Working Conditions:

    • Needs to be able to lift up to 25 pounds (boxes, packages, books, etc)
    • Most work will be done on a computer
    • May need to walk or shuttle to other campuses to deliver materials
    • Shift is variable Monday through Friday and consists of <20 hours/week

    Qualifications

    Minimum qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent AND a minimum of six months entry-level office experience is desired
    • Candidate must be currently state work-study eligible through an academic institution
    • Computer experience including e-mail, Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word), etc. is also required
    • Must be reliable, trustworthy, and have strong work ethic
    • Must be comfortable with and discrete when handling confidential information

     

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Possesses previous experience with administrative work (filing, sorting, organizing, etc)
    • Effective team player and able to assimilate information quickly
