The Hutchinson Center provides a challenging academic and supportive multi-disciplinary research environment.
We are seeking a recent or prospective doctoral graduate (Ph.D. or equivalent qualification) with a background in Epidemiology and related subject areas to cancer prevention and survivorship. Candidates should have an interest in the investigation of novel, interdisciplinary research questions related to identifying strategies to improve cancer survivorship and cancer outcomes using lifestyle behavioral interventions (nutrition, physical activity, energy balance) and observational study designs. This position will be under the direction of Dr. Heather Greenlee, member of the Public Health Sciences and Clinical Research Divisions at Fred Hutch and Director of Integrative Medicine at the SCCA.
Dr. Greenlee’s research program uses both clinical trials and observational studies to examine a broad range of lifestyle intervention and complementary/integrative therapies for cancer prevention and control, especially in under-resourced and vulnerable populations. The candidate will be responsible for data analysis and manuscript preparation on two ongoing National Cancer Institute R01-funded studies, in addition to participating in other new and ongoing studies. The Mi Vida Saludable study is an ongoing 2x2 factorial designed trial testing the separate and synergistic effects of in-person and eHealth diet and physical activity interventions on behavioral outcomes in Latina breast cancer survivors.
