    This position manages the operation of the Immunotherapy Integrated Research Center Clinical Research Operations team (IIRC-CRO) and IIRC clinical trials portfolio. Develops policies, procedures, and methods for project/study implementation.


    The incumbent reports to the Clinical Research Operations Director. Has responsibility for coordinating all aspects of study/project operation. Special skills and knowledge are applied in coordinating project/study operations, and in assisting in developing methods and materials.


    Perform some or all of the following responsibilities:

    • Manage data, timelines, and progress for a portfolio of 20+ phase I/II clinical research studies. Track study progress, prepare reports, and lead/organize clinical operations meeting.
    • Coordinate early activities of study start up with Clinical Research and sponsors.
    • Manage teams creating new policies and procedures according to protocol, IRB, grant/contract and Center specifications, ensuring high quality, timely work. Manage implementation of large projects that will support long-term growth in the IIRC.
    • Manage projects for IIRC-CRO, including development of research materials. Edit and revise materials in support of the team.
    • Serve as liaison for the IIRC, representing the project or study to other Center departments, funding sources, affiliated individuals or institutions, and outside organizations. 
    • Manage committee meetings, and create timelines and project plans, to ensure objectives have been met, and coordinate follow-up activities and facilitating the flow between study stages.
    • Assist in the analysis of project/study data in order to develop and track metrics in support of strategic goals for IIRC-CRO.      
    • Coordinate the submission of study results, articles, and manuscripts for publication, writing portions of articles/manuscripts as required.    
    • Produce special and recurring reports.
    • Performs other responsibilities as required.


    • BA/BS in related field required, MA/MS desired
    • Minimum of three years post-master's or five years post-bachelors related project/study management experience in a research setting
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
