    The incumbent reports to the Glassware supervisor and works independently in performing daily responsibilities according to departmental standard operating procedures. Non-routine decisions are referred to the supervisor or manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the packing of the Centers bio-hazardous waste for pick-up by Waste Management.
    • Learn and perform all duties in accordance with established departmental safety procedures and standards.
    • Signing of manifest for waste pick-up.
    • DOT training in proper waste packaging.
    • The packing up of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) glassware processed by Glassware.
    • Responsible for the weekly un-packing and stocking of the media in the Media pick-up room.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High school graduate or GED
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
    • Biohazard processing experience preferred
