    The Temporary Employee Services Representative works under the supervision of the Employee Service Center Manager.  This position works with some supervision but is expected to use initiative and judgment in carrying out routine responsibilities within the framework of department policies and procedures. This position is expected to keep up on internal changes in procedures related to work responsibilities.  May assist in training new staff.


    • Maintain confidentiality regarding employee and applicant information
    • Facilitate the new hire process
    • Data entry of source documents (i.e.: new hire notifications, separations, salary adjustments, benefits forms, etc.). Data entry of employee information changes
    • Assist employees with questions regarding benefits, payroll, and other Human Resources information.  Track, resolve and follow through on employee requests
    • Support both the SCCA and Fred Hutch by working within and answering questions regarding the policies and procedures of each organization
    • Coordinate data entry requiring multi-operational group participation
    • Review incoming forms for accuracy; process, and archive into electronic system
    • Liaise with other Human Resource functions
    • Respond to and appropriately direct ad hoc customer requests for forms, data, etc.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or requested
    • Assist with HR front desk/reception coverage


    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Minimum of two years general office experience or exposure to customer service methodology and practice required
    • Basic computer experience including word processing, spreadsheets and database
    • Prefer 1 year of previous experience in Human Resources Department
    • Exceptional customer service skills required
    • Must be detail oriented and demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Must be able to take initiative with work load and know how to prioritize work
    • Must be able to work in a team environment being flexible, positive, approachable, and have strong interpersonal communication skills
    • Knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS preferred
    • Payroll and benefits experience preferred
    • Data entry experience preferred
    • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    • Must keep confidentiality and use discretion
    • Sitting and standing required. Occasional repetitive motion when entering data.
    • Regular attendance and punctuality required.
