    Reporting to the Senior Director of Integrated Marketing, the Marketing Manager, Sponsorships and Campaigns within Fred Hutch’s Communications & Marketing Department is responsible for identifying emerging and future opportunities for high visibility and impactful marketing campaigns through sponsorships and corporate partnerships and leveraging them into integrated campaigns that build Fred Hutch’s audience and brand engagement.


    The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Philanthropy and Business Development teams to build strategic partnerships and sponsorships that support identified business objectives and build integrated marketing campaigns through collaboration with other stakeholders and functional experts across the campus and within the Communications & Marketing department. This role requires an entrepreneurial, self-starter who can who can work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.


    The Marketing Manager will communicate regularly with the Senior Director of Integrated Marketing, who leads the Marketing team in the Communications & Marketing department.


    • Contribute to annual planning of the marketing department strategy to raise the profile of Fred Hutch, including goal setting and owning assigned KPIs.
    • Identify and develop high visibility, integrated campaigns that build audience and meaningful brand engagement from concept and partner engagement through post-campaign reporting and analysis
    • Responsible for timeliness, quality and accuracy of campaign partnership execution & results
    • Identify channel and process improvement to support campaign management efficiency & effectiveness
    • Create trend relevant, customer-centric stories and engagements across platforms that extend the Fred Hutch brand voice and evoke an emotional connection
    • Establish and measure KPIs for owned marketing initiatives
    • Develop collaborative relationships across the Communications & Marketing team and the center, including the scientific divisions, Philanthropy, and other administrative departments.
    • Develop and manage large sponsorship and partnership opportunities with corporate, influencer and celebrity partners.
    • Conduct after action reviews (AARs) on larger projects to monitor and analyze team and individual performance.
    • Other support as needed by the Senior Director of Integrated Marketing and the department Vice President.


    Minimum qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field
    • 5 years' experience as a marketing or brand manager, or in similar marketing/communications role
    • Experience with fundraising efforts preferred


    Required knowledge, skills and abilities

    • Proven expertise conceiving, planning and executing on a project plan
    • Ability to deliver projects on time and within established budget
    • Experience developing partnerships and sponsorships
    • Record of creating innovative partnerships and campaigns
    • Expereince creating and measuring audience engagement initiatives
    • Ability to manage a variety of key initiatives concurrently
    • Understanding of fundraising-focused marketing needs and trends
    • Passion for and expertise in research and data
    • Experience producing and leveraging digital channels (Web site, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) and emerging platforms
    • Scientific/health care expertise and understanding of the not-for-profit space
