    The primary responsibilities of a Manufacturing Lab Technician I is to provide laboratory support for the Therapeutic Products Program process development team.   

    • Stocking and inventory of laboratory supplies, staging of raw materials and consumables, and retrieving materials for use in experiments
    • Assistance with various experimental procedures, such as cell culture, cell counting, media preparation, flow cytometry sample preparation, etc.
    • Cleaning and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment (incubators, water baths, etc)
    • Assistance with ordering and shipping/receiving
    • Delivering/retrieving samples to/from other labs and locations near campus
    • Ability to operate under minimal supervision


    A High School Degree or equivalent with an interest in laboratory sciences. Minimum of one year of experience working in a laboratory environment is required and completion of college level laboratory coursework in Chemistry and Biology is highly desirable. Ideal candidate will have completed a Bachelors Degree in a scientific field with a strong interest in supporting a process development laboratory involved in human primary cell (e.g., hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) or T-cell) research.


    Additional requirements of the position include:

    • Basic knowledge of math and usage of common laboratory equipment
    • Computer skills including work with spreadsheet programs (Excel) and word processing (Word)
    • Able to communicate, read, and write legibly in English
    • Ability to lift 40 lbs and the ability to stand continuously in a laboratory environment for at least 2 hours
    • Detail oriented with the ability to complete written and verbally assigned tasks
    • Ability to interact constructively with peers and support groups
    • Ability to work evening and weekend shifts as required
