    Responsibilities

    The Corporate Engagement Coordinator serves on the Institutional Giving team, which leads corporate and foundation giving activities within the Philanthropy Department. The Coordinator will report to the Executive Director, Institutional Giving, and will be responsible for managing the essential day to day administrative tasks of the team as well as special projects related to the maintenance and growth of the team’s programmatic goals. Coordinating activities within the Institutional Giving team and with other teams in Philanthropy, the Coordinator will independently develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure robust prospect research, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of corporate and foundation donors. The Coordinator will be expected to interface with other administrative and scientific leadership and staff across the Center as well as with donors and peer organizations.

    • In coordination with the Project Coordinator of Foundation Relations, facilitate the day-to-day donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities for the Institutional Giving team. This includes verifying that proposals, progress reports, events, and other cultivation and stewardship efforts are scheduled and tracked to ensure that all research, fundraising, and administrative activities are completed in a timely manner
    • Perform detailed prospect research to identify philanthropic interests of corporate and foundation prospects. Facilitate development of strategy for engaging and cultivating propects
    • Maintain and edit corporate pipeline and portfolios as needed in alignment with strategic vision and goals set by the Corporate Engagement team
    • Prepare reports as needed for Institutional Giving or other Philanthropy staff, other administrative or scientific faculty or leadership, and refresh suite of materials prospectively
    • Support the Institutional Giving team in the development, customization, implementation, and distribution of donor benefits and recognition services
    • Support the development and revision of fundraising and productivity workflows, resources, and tools. These may include CRM systems, project management tools, digital calendaring, and research databases
    • Develop, edit and finalize solicitation and stewardship materials including proposals, acknowledgement materials and progress reports
      Assist in the preparation of cultivation events including background research, management of guest lists, agenda and material preparation, and event logistics
    • Fulfill various clerical responsibilities such as file management, processing/approving pro-card reports, ordering supplies, preparing FedEx packages, renewing journals/publications, distributing mail, and processing checks

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Minimum of three years of experience; preferably in non-profit development or in a research or academic setting


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
    • Experience using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge/RENXT and Tableau desired
    • Comfort with project management tools including Asana or Smartsheet, and a basic understanding of design/web editing in Adobe InDesign and HTML
    • Exceptional independent writing and editing expertise, with great attention to detail required
    • Superior interpersonal communication skills required
