    The Project Coordinator II coordinates projects, department and administrative activities to ensure the successful delivery of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) initiatives across the Center. This role will include project, administrative, and event management duties in support of the D&I department.

    Responsibilities

    In partnership with the Diversity and Inclusion Program Director, the Project Coordinator II will perform a variety of project coordination and administrative duties to ensure successful delivery of D&I initiatives across the Center. May perform some or all of the following duties:

    • Provide ongoing project coordination among multiple D&I initiatives; track and manage timelines for projects and deliverables.
    • Support the development and maintenance of the Hutch D&I Playbook, including standard operating procedures and oversight of initiatives for long-term sustainability.
    • Provide logistical oversight of Employee Resource Groups including scheduling, budgeting reconciliation, and internal web presence updates.
    • Manage the D&I internal and external websites, ensuring accurate, useful, and up-to-date information.
    • Serve as a D&I point of contact/liaison, representing the D&I initiatives to other Center departments, affiliated individuals and institutions, and outside organizations.
    • Manage calendar for department activities, events, and deliverables. Partake in the organization of large and small scale D&I events.
    • Manage the internal D&I listserve.
    • Oversee the development of the D&I newsletter; develop other materials as needed (communications, training materials, etc).
    • Partner with Finance to monitor project budgets and provide regular updates to the D&I Program Director.
    • Partner with the D&I Program Director to stay up-to-date on current D&I research and trends.
    • Produce special and recurring reports. Assist in the analysis of D&I data.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
    • Minimum three years of experience in project management with demonstrated success in coordinating complex projects
    • Experience managing or supporting D&I initiatives
    • Experience providing progressively complex administrative support, including event coordination
    • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
    • Excellent organization, planning, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office Suite and SharePoint
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
    • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and competing demands in a deadline-driven environment
    • Demonstrated high level of service delivery to internal and external clients
