The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), located in Seattle, Washington, is part of a dynamic collaboration among three organizations known nationally and internationally for their patient care and research: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, and Seattle Children's. Over the past 25 years, these institutions have worked together to support their mission of adult and pediatric oncology patient care services, research and education.
The Clinical Research Coordinator II participates in all aspects of clinical research trials except those that require medical expertise or licensure and leads key tasks such accurate record keeping, data collection and management, and correspondence. This particular role works closely with Principal Investigators and research teams, clinical department representatives, and research billing regulatory areas to evaluate and resolve a clinical trial’s gaps for the successful implementation of new clinical trials and research activities at the SCCA.
The ideal candidate possesses a working knowledge of the clinical research lifecycle from clinical trial concept and development through study closeout, and has significant experience in clinical research operations, including oncology trial start-up and management. This role requires the ability to think and deliver quickly while also being accurate, detailed and thorough. It demands a person who can communicate clearly and concisely often about complex issues. It also requires someone with the desire to work collaboratively with a team, and a willingness to be flexible to meet the demands of the clinical research study and the Research Integration Department.
