    The SCCA has committed to a Lean transformation of our model of care and to grow to serve more patients.  This is an  exciting opportunity to join a team of Lean professionals in our Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI) department as we lead multidisciplinary teams through the design of our Clinic Expansion and the launch of new clinics in our Community practice. This position will also contribute to other projects and training activities within the organization as needed.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Collaboratively help plan and lead events in a manner that challenges team members and leaders to push outside of their comfort-zones to develop breakthrough ideas and solutions
    • Develop process documentation including value stream maps,  functional analyses, design documents and standard work documents
    • Work independently to plan and lead performance improvement design events and other activities
    • Assist in preparation and turnover of 3d mock up sessions
    • Support design team development through assisting or leading parts of study missions, trainings, and other education activities
    • Develop and track action items to project plans and milestones
    • Document and improve the SCCA's body of knowledge in Integrated Facility Design (IFD) methodology
    • Collaborate in the development of plans to collect, analyze, display, and present data to articulate problems, show improvement, and monitor process outcomes
    • Serve as a role model in professional behavior for SCCA management and staff and demonstrate a commitment to support the SCCA mission and vision


    Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in scientific, healthcare, architecture or engineering fields
    • Experience working independently as an internal or external lean consultant
    • Ability to coach and devleop others at different levels in the organziation
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage conflict and build strong relationships
    • Results oriented, with excellent analytic skills
    • High degree of professional ethics and integrity – engenders and maintains trust and credibility
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong competency with Microsoft Office 
    • Access to an automobile, appropriate insurance and a valid driver's license for off-campus meetings


    • Experience developing Daily Management Systems
    • Experience designing workflow and space concurrently using Lean design principles in healthcare, architecture, or similar fields
    • Master's degree and/or equivalent education and work experience
