The Experimental Histopathology Laboratory is recruiting a Lab Aide I to provide basic support to the laboratory. This may include:

  • Assist with specimen log-in
  • Assist with specimen processing
  • Assist with slide and cassette printing
  • Assist with microtomy and routine histology
  • Assist with billing and basic administrative tasks
  • Perform general lab maintenance/upkeep
  • Assist other staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned


The candidate must be a high school graduate and currently enrolled in a University. Candidate must also have completed or currently enrolled in a Biology or Microbiology course. Knowledge of computer usage (especially use of spreadsheets and databases) is highly desirable. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.


The position requires 4-10 hours per week in the afternoon.
