Fred Hutch is looking for an experienced change manager to lead the change management and communication efforts supporting the implementation of the Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS). CTMS is a multi-year technology and process transformation program touching several integral processes, systems and people across the Seattle Cancer Consortium. As the change management specialist, you will work across a diverse set of stakeholders to drive awareness and adoption of this critical system by focusing on the people side of change.

Responsibilities

  • Create a structured change management implementation strategy to help ensure consistency in adopting change for every employee, every project team and every department.
  • Identify the most expected and potential points of resistance to change. Develop counter strategies to reduce the resistance and address the doubts and uncertainty surrounding the change to foster a positive acceptance of change.
  • Create specific change management plans with respect to training and orientation of employees. Training will lead to the path of least resistance to change and maximum utilization of the new initiatives for the company.
  • Establish parameters to measure the early adoption, effective utilization and proficiency to new change initiatives for individual employees as well as groups or departments.
  • Identify deviations in performance from the change standards and implement strategies for corrective action to achieve full organizational adoption to change.
  • Continue to maintain a close engagement with specialists from each institution to ensure a smooth transition to change and organization-wide successful implementation of change initiatives.
  • Actively manage the execution of the change management and communication plans, tracking progress, monitoring and escalating issues and working with program/project leadership to resolve

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of management consulting, project or change management and/or internal experience with large-scale organization change initiatives. 
  • Change management certification (Prosci or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, collaboration, interpersonal and facilitation skills. 
  • Proficient in core communication technologies and willingness to learn technology platforms to deliver engaging communications. 
  • Experience creating and executing multi-channel communication and user engagement strategies. 
  • Ability articulate a compelling reason for effective change management practices and to engage project and business stakeholders 
  • Continual focuses on achieving positive, measurable results tied to program / projects goals.
  • Ability to communicate complex information in simple, easy-to-understand ways. 
  • Ability to take ownership and independently drive progress in a matrixed organization. 
  • Proficiency with PM tools and software (MS Project, Project Server, Clarity, etc.).
  • Experience conducting change assessments, stakeholder analysis, implementing change management strategies, and ensuring integration of change activities into the project management plan.
