In collaboration with other members of the Organizational Effectiveness and Training Team, the Senior Org Effectiveness Manager will lead programs related to the development of leadership and management skills, consult with leaders at all levels of the organization regarding teaming best practices and change, and help establish the practices and implementation of organization-wide efforts related to performance management and engagement. The work of the Senior Organizational Effectiveness Professional spans both Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

Responsibilities

Organization-wide projects:

  • Design and conduct in-classroom training related to Leadership and Management Development and collaborate on the design of new blended learning efforts, particularly in the area of leadership development.
  • Lead employee engagement survey efforts, from start of the survey to analysis and follow-up related to team and organization results.
  • Collaborate on the design of new approaches and systems related to performance management and organizational learning.
  • Collaborate on issues related to organizational culture, values and norms.

Team based projects:

  • Consult with leaders regarding organizational design.
  • Coach leaders on change and transition issues and provide tactical advice and support on the implementation of changes for teams.
  • Coach leaders on best team practices and offer support using data collection, facilitation and team intervention tools.
  • Facilitate complex or high stakes meetings related to organizational change and strategic planning.

 

Leader based projects:

  • Coach leaders on individual skills they are developing in conjunction with leadership and management programs.
  • Consult with leaders on issues of organizational effectiveness and health.
  • Provide coaching through the use of 360 and other assessments.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years as an OD and Training Practitioner
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct leadership and management training
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team
  • Mastery of group facilitation and group process skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OD constructs and corresponding usage of tools related to team building, change management, leadership development and organizational systems assessment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of team and leader assessment methodologies
  • Ability to manage projects related to Organization-wide assigments
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Masters in OD or a related field desirable
  • Experience in academic research organizations/healthcare desirable
