A part-time Lab Aide I to work with a pre-clinical laboratory team. This individual will help in support of studies to measure immune responses in subjects in cancer immunotherapy trials. S/he will be responsible performing basic laboratory duties, and entering data and information into reference databases. They will be responsible for assembling specimen collection kits, helping track, input and collect specimen pulls from the biorepository. Under supervision they will help perform standard and investigative laboratory work in support of scientific research by monitoring and operating analytical instruments, recovering, compiling and verifying the accuracy of data entered into the specimen database.

Works under the direction of the Principal Investigator or higher-level laboratory personnel. Uses limited discretion and judgment in carrying out experiments. Part-time expectations are up to 19 hours/week and must be flexible and able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
HS degree is required. Current enrollment in a BA/BS program is preferred. Must have basic scientific knowledge and basic laboratory skills. Computer, organizational, and record-keeping skills. Ability to perform meticulous manual tasks and to use good sterile technique. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Highly organized and have a knowledge of laboratory working environments
